Local Events

Big or small, there is always an event going on in the city of Ephrata. Starting in the spring, catch a local musical or art show featuring our aspiring artists at our local schools. Baseball, Soccer and Track also fill out the spring schedule for all ages. Summer Break opens up with our annual Sage and Sun Festival featuring a parade and community gathering for entertainment and a great time at our historic Grant County Court House.

The Farmers Market gets in high gear in June and runs through October featuring local produce, crafts and entertainment every Saturday morning.

The summer night heats up the third weekend of July with Basin Summer Sounds Music Festival. A two day music festival featuring artists from all over the northwest performing in two locations at the Court House Main Stage and the Basin Plaza Stage in beautiful Downtown Ephrata. Along with the music there is also a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament for all ages.

Gliders and Stunt Planes fill the sky over town while the local Ephrata Tiger Sharks take to the water in one of many swim meets at Ephrata's Splash Zone. The year comes to a close with the big bang of the Mint Explosion, a winter Christmas Celebration featuring activities, lots of mint in the mint cooking contest and a lighted Christmas Holiday Parade. The crisp night ends with the sky lit up in Fireworks that light up the town to every ones delight. As the year comes to a close we look forward to next year and all the events to come.
